 Minor Emergencies- these would include:


     A wire that bends or breaks but does not hurt. 

     A bracket or band that detaches from the tooth.

     A lost or broken headgear, retainer, lip bumper, etc.

Any of the above conditions should be reported to the office during working day. If a minor emergency occurs in the evening or over the weekend, please call the office the next morning.

 Moderate Emergencies- these would include:

    A wire that is poking and causing an ulcer or irritation.

    A toothache from orthodontic movement that can not be controlled by an analgesic (such as Tylenol)

  Acute Emergencies- these would include:

    Any traumatic injury to the mouth that has caused a tooth to become loosened or knocked out, or a wire to become severely bent.

If you are unable to reach Dr. Schratz, please contact your family dentist. If this fails. Contact any other dental office or nearest hopsital emergency facility.
